Summary Introduction

Introduction: The cell wall is the outer surrounding layer of the cells that gives protection and rigidity to the organelles present inside the cells. The cell wall is present in prokaryotes such as bacteria and fungi, and eukaryotes like plants. The cell wall is not present in animal cells and it is covered only by plasma membrane. Upon the entry of water into cells, the cell wall acts as the pressure vessels to prevent the over expansion of cells.
