Chapter 39, Problem 12TYK
Summary Introduction
Plant hormones are otherwise known as phytohormones. These are biochemical involved in the regulation of normal processes in plant cells. They are produced in extremely low concentrations and function as signaling molecules. Ethylene is useful in ripening fruits. It inhibits the process of stem elongation or triples the response. Ethylene serves as the more mediate of apoptotic cell death or programmed cell death called apoptosis.
