Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Primary xylem forms a part of vascular tissue system during primary growth. After secondary growth, vascular cambium present between xylem and phloem gives rise to secondary xylem (also known as wood) on internal side. Another type of cambium- called cork cambium present in the periphery gives rise to cork cells, which protect the tree.
