A neuron mainly consists of three regions: an axon, the dendrites and a cell body. There are three groups of neurons: sensory neurons, motor neurons, and interneurons.

Neurons fire only in one direction within the brain. They have a chemical receptor at one end and release chemicals at the other. Therefore, the neuron-to-neighbor chain only goes in one direction. Nerves, which work bidirectionally throughout your body.
