The amphibians are vertebrates that have the ability to live on land as well as on water. The amphibians lay their eggs near the water source as the larval form of most of amphibians needs to stay in the water. The skin of the amphibians is very moist, which allows it to diffuse gases across it. This ability of the amphibians makes them very sensitive to the changing environment that is currently occurring on the earth.
