Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
According to the Newton’s first law of motion, the state of an object (rest or uniform motion) will not change until an external force is exerted on it. This law is also termed as law of inertia.
The soccer ball was initially at rest. When the soccer ball is kicked, then a person will apply an external force on the soccer ball. So, according to first law of motion when a person apply an external force on it then the state of soccer ball will change and it will start moving.
Conclusion:
Hence, the soccer ball will start moving after the kick.
