Introduction:

Bird’s migration is a regular seasonal movement along a flyway between breeding and the wintering grounds. Around 4,000 species of birds migrate regularly, that is, about 40 percent of the total birds in the world. Birds often reach great heights when they migrate.

Explanation of Solution

Migration of birds carries high costs in predation and mortality rates because of the availability of food.

The Arctic terns are the birds that travel a long distance migration between Arctic rearing fields and the Antarctic.

Species of tubenoses as albatrosses circle the earth flying over the southern oceans.

Manx shearwaters also migrate very long between their northern rearing fields and the southern ocean.

Tens of thousands of migrating birds collide with obstacles in mid-flight that cause fatal injuries. They are also very susceptible to predators.
