Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The roots take water nutrients from the soil and transport them to the leaf. The water and nutrients enter the plant cells after traversing concentric layers of epidermis, cortex, and endodermis and then central cylindrical portion. The hydrophobic cell wall substances are the innermost part of the endodermis. The nutrient is taken in through 3 main pathways-apoplastic route (cell wall route), symplastic route(having cellular connections) and the trans-cellular route.
