What does Earth’s tilt have to do with the change of seasons?
The effect of Earth’s tilt on the seasons.
Answer to Problem 8RQ
The Earth’s tilt is different at different locations which causes the season to change.
Explanation:
The variation in the temperature of Earth's surface depends on the angle at which rays of the Sun hit the surface. When this angle is low at a place, the temperature will be less, or vice versa. The seasons change at different locations because of this angle. The tilt of Earth causes the variation in the angle of sunrays.
When these rays are perpendicular to the surface at any point on Earth that region experiences summer season. Approximately six months later, these rays fall on the same region obliquely, which means the angle is minimal. So, in this case, that region experiences winter season.
Conclusion:
Therefore, the Earth’s tilt is different at different locations which causes the season to change.
