Chapter 3, Problem 6CT
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The basis of distinguishing the proteins released from secretory vesicles and the cells in which they have been newly synthesized after the inhibition of messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA).
Introduction:
In an experiment, the synthesis of mRNA is inhibited with the use of a drug. The mRNA is synthesized by the process of transcription, in which the DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is converted to mRNA. After this event, the mRNA gets exported out of the nucleus to cytosol, where ribosomes catalyze the formation of proteins by the process of translation.

Apart from food, plants need other nutrients like water and minerals.
Nitrogen, a mineral, is an important part of all living cells. All organisms need nitrogen in order to grow and repair.
Although nitrogen exists in its elemental form in the atmosphere, it cannot be directly used by plants.
7 Where else can plants obtain their nitrogen from?
Plants make their own nitrogen.
B Plants get it from animals.
Plants get it from the soil.
D
Plants have special structures to break down
atmospheric nitrogen.
