Summary Introduction

To examine:  Whether the statement “Loops of polypeptide that protrude from the surface of a protein often form the binding sites for other molecules” is true or false.

Introduction:

Proteins are the important constituents of diet. It consists of a chain of amino acids called polypeptide. There are 20 different amino acids in proteins which are coded by organisms’ DNA. Protein forms primary, secondary, tertiary structure, and quaternary structures. The proteins have loop of polypeptide chains that protrude from the core region of the protein domain. These loops remain unstructured until they bind to the other molecule.
