Interpretation:

The interplanar spacing between the thickness of the sheet needs to be calculated.

Concept introduction:

FCC rhodium has 1 mm thickness and plane (111) is parallel to the sheet surface.

Interplanner spacing can be calculated as follows:

  $d_{hkl}=\frac{a_0}{\sqrt{\left(h^2+k^2+l^2\right) }}$

Here, h, k and l are dimensions of the plane and $a_0$ is edge length.
