A project network diagram involves (i) the definition of the project scope and work breakdown structure (ii) development and understanding of the association among various activities including precedent and succession relationships (iii) creation of a network, that connects all activities (iv) assignment for each task, time and cost estimates (v) computation of the longest time path through the project network (vi) use of the information to modify, if necessary, the project completion time.
