To Review:
The cellular structure observed with a light microscope and electron microscope.
Introduction:
The microscope is an instrument, which is very important for the visualization of the cells and its particles. There are two types of microscopy techniques, which are broadly used nowadays. These are light microscopy and electron microscopy.
Explanation of Solution
The electron microscopy is used to visualize the ultrastructure of the cells. It gives a resolution, which can help to view particles of nm in size. Light microscopy is less efficient in resolution power it provides a resolution up to ~1200nm.
The light microscopy can be used to view the cell its component. It can be used to see organelles, chromosomes during cell division, and tissues. The electron microscope can be used to visualize the detail of the organelles, the biochemical processes, and some large molecules including lipid bilayer and associated receptors.
The cells can be useful or non-useful depending on the function they perform.
