Introduction: Ferns belong to a diverse group of spore-forming plants. Approximate 11,000 species of ferns are found in terrestrial habitats and few are also found in the aquatic environment. Ferns commonly inhabit temperate regions such as swamps, stream banks, and marshes. Members of bryophytes are called amphibians of the plant kingdom and are commonly found in damp and humid climates. Algae belong to group thallophyta and contain chlorophyll pigments to perform photosynthesis.
