Introduction:

Buffer is the solution that resists the change in pH when an acidic solution or a basic solution is added. The three major buffer systems of the body are the protein buffer system, the carbonic acid buffer system and the phosphate buffer system. The mechanism that supports the buffering systems of the body is the renal compensation and the respiratory compensation.
