Summary Introduction

To discuss:

Sources and actions of ghrelin, peptide YY, cholestokinin, and amylin as short-term regulators of appetite.

Introduction:

Nutrition is the basis of all life activities, and it is done by the process called metabolism. In metabolism, the raw materials are taken up and the digestive process takes place by breaking down the large molecules into small biomolecules. These small biomolecules are further absorbed by the intestinal cells and the energy to all living things is provided. The appetite is controlled by the long-term and short-term regulators present in the appetite control center in the brain.
