Based on functional groups, for the polymers in Problems $\text{26}\text{.43}$ and $\text{26}\text{.48}$, the class of the polymer has to be identified.

Concept introduction:

A specific way to classify heterochain polymers is by the functional groups that are responsible for linking the monomers together to make the main chain. $\text{Poly }\left(\text{ethyleneterephthalate}\right)\left(\text{PET}\right)$, for example, which is used to make bottles for carbonated beverages, is polyester. The repeating unit for PET contains two ester groups – one is a complete ester group, and the other one is incomplete but is completed by a carbon atom from an adjacent repeating unit.
