The direction of magnetic field using right-hand rule.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
A charge moving in certain direction produces a magnetic field. In a current carrying conductor a electron moves so a magnetic field is produced around the conductor.
The pattern of magnetic field is like eccentric circles around the wire as shown below.
To determine the direction of magnetic field around a current carrying conductor right hand curl rule is used.
First grasp the wire with the right hand with the thumb directing towards the direction of current.
Now the fingers curl will denote the direction of magnetic field as shown in figure below.
