Concept introduction: Except identical twins, the base sequence in the complete DNA of one person is different from that of the other though the sequence in the nucleus of the billions of cells may be identical. This is because of this uniqueness only that makes it easy to identify the identity of a father and child in the paternity cases or the suspects in different criminal cases by using any part of the skin or a blood trace left at the crime scene.
