Concept Introduction:

Fermentation products contain chemical energy and they are not fully oxidized. But in anaerobic conditions, the primary mechanism of cells produce ATP as glycolysis. For glycolysis procedure to continue, NADH must be oxidized, and it is utilized to produce ATP either aerobically or anaerobically.
