Introduction:

The electrons that are generally present in the outermost shell in an atom are referred to as valence electrons and the shell is called valence shell. These electrons determine the chemical activity of an atom or element. The valence shell is different for different elements and depends on the number of electrons present in the atom. An atom with a complete valence shell is chemically stable.
