Polystyrene is a synthetic polymer that is made of aromatic hydrocarbon styrene. Molecular weight of each repeated unit is $104.1\text{g}{\text{mol}}^{-1}$. The plot of  $\log \left(\text{molecular}\text{mass}\right)$ versus retention time is a straight line for polystyrene polymer.
