The air is composed of various gases in order of their relative abundance like 78.6% atmospheric gas, 20.9% oxygen gas, 0.5% carbon-dioxide gas and 0.04% is composed of the carbon dioxide gas. The total pressure is represented by the atmospheric pressure. This relationship of the pressure developed in the atmosphere due to the collisions and the individual partial pressures of the gas molecules is called as the Dalton’s pressure.
