Chapter 22, Problem 7RAC
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The defense mechanism of the body against the pathogens is known as the immune system. The immune system is of two types −the innate immune system and the adaptive immune system. The innate immunity comes into play immediately or within hours of the appearance of the antigen in the body. The innate immune system removes the pathogens by using physical barriers, phagocytosis process and by the help of chemical mediators.
