The most important difference between NADPH and NADH is that, NADPH is used during photosynthesis, and NADH is used during respiration. NADH plays an important role during oxidative phosphorylation, it acts as an electron donor in this process, and helps in the synthesis of ATP. One NADH molecule produces 2.5 ATP molecules.
