Summary Introduction
The tendency to resist changes to maintain a relatively constant internal environment is known as homeostasis. Homeostasis usually involves two feedback systems, namely negative and positive feedback systems. Negative feedback loops respond changes of various properties from their set points, target values. In contrast, positive feedback loops amplify their initiating stimuli or they move the system away from its equilibrium state.
