Monophyletic, paraphyletic, and polyphyletic fall under the types of classification category, which reveals the relationship of the evolution of the organisms. Monophyletic is the group which has an ancestor and all the descendants are of the ancestor. Polyphyletic is the group which does not include the common ancestors in the group of organisms. Paraphyletic is the group which includes ancestors but some of the descendants are of the ancestors.
