Fishes are included under the phylum Chordata. Fishes are found in almost all types of aquatic habitat including fresh water to marine water. They are the aquatic vertebrates which possess jaws, gills and fins. Fishes are classified under two main clades: the cartilaginous fishes and the bony fishes.
