Introduction:

Ixodes ticks (Ixodes ricinus) are the variety of hard bodies ticks, that belongs to the family Ixodidae and genus Ixodes. The adult Ixodes ticks are brown in color, but the female ticks are light gray in color. Some species of Ixodes ticks act as carriers of bacterial and viral infections. When they bite the host, they transmit the infection.
