Introduction:

The subclavian artery is also named as an axillary artery, as it leaves the thorax and enters the axillary region. It supplies blood to major parts of the head, upper arm, and enters into brachium, thus becoming a brachial artery. Brachial artery goes down further to supply to biceps and arm muscles. Later, brachial artery branches off to radial, ulnar arteries and forms palmar arches.
