The pulmonary circulation includes the transportation of deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle to the lungs. This is followed by the returning of the oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium. The pulmonary arteries carry the deoxygenated blood from the hear,t while the oxygenated blood from the lungs is carried to the heart by the pulmonary veins.
