Measurement is an action of measuring something. The unit of any measurement is an exact magnitude of the quantity which is adopted by convention. It is used for the measurement of same kind of a quantity. For example, length is a physical quantity and measured in meter (as its unit).
Explanation of Solution
Standard units of measurements are required for comparison. Scientists from different country speak different language but having a common comparison makes the communication much easier that allows the scientists to share infinite information.
