Explanation of Solution

Causes of divide underflow:

Consider two numbers and if the given number has the divisor very small than the dividend, a condition will occur known as “divide underflow”. When this condition occurs, the result will be almost zero.

• In floating point, the de-normalize condition will occur which will lead to divide underflow. This condition will exist if the exponent field contains all zero and the significant field contain non zero.
• The resultant of the magnitude will be very small for this case.
