Interpretation:

The relation between the mass of water in the surrounding and heat transfer for a process needs to be explained. The heat transfer needs to be calculated for the given mass of water, if increase in temperature takes place by 1.25 oC .

Concept Introduction:

An adiabatic procedure is one which takes place so vastly that no heat transfer happens between the system, or within the system and surroundings.If the heat is added at constant volume the heat energy goes completely into increasing the internal kinetic energy of the substances.

Specific heat capacity can be mathematically represented as follows:

  C=QmΔT

Here, Q is heat transfer, m is mass and ΔT is change in temperature.
