The regulation of gene expression through the modification of DNA bases and chromatin and why these modification results in increased and decreased gene expression. Give examples.

Introduction:

The nucleic acid is present in the nucleus of cell. DNA is packed into chromatin. Chromatin contains histone proteins which binds the DNA tightly. Chromatin consists of DNA, RNA, and protein which are responsible for the structure of chromosome. Gene regulation and expression both are important process for the transcription and translation of gene. Modification of DNA bases and chromatin is necessary for the activation of genes and regulatory proteins. Gene need to be modified at chromosome level so that transcription starts and proteins can hold access to the genes that is going to be transcribed.
