Introduction:

The heart pumps blood to the different parts of the body via the aorta. The aorta is the major artery of the body and gets divided into the ascending and the descending aorta with an aortic arch between them. The descending thoracic aorta is originates from the descending aorta. Subclavian artery along with the descending thoracic aorta supply blood to the thorax and the thoracic organs.
