Carbohydrates are the biomolecules which are made up of the carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms. All the organisms use carbohydrates as a source to generate the energy. Carbohydrates are the organic compounds which include sugars, cellulose, and starches. Biochemically, carbohydrates are known as the saccharides. There are four types of saccharides present, namely.

• Monosaccharide.

• Disaccharides.

• Oligosaccharides.

• Polysaccharides
