To determine:

The reason for failure of quarantine as it was used to control plague.

Introduction:

Plague is caused by a gram-negative bacteria called Yersinia pestis. It has multiple phases. In the first phase lymph node inflammation occurs (buboes), which is present on neck and in the armpits, followed by muscular pain, septicemia, bacteremia, and fever. In the final stage the disease cause lower blood pressure, subcutaneous hemorrhaging, lower heart rate, and death of tissues.
