Explanation of Solution
Symbiosis is a kind of interaction between two organisms in which both may or may not be benefitted. There are three types of symbiotic associations namely; mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism. Examples of symbiosis include bees dependent on flowers for nectar and flower for pollination. This is an example of mutualism in which both the species are benefitted. Orchids on the branches of the tree are an example of commensalism in which only one organism is benefited and other is neither harmed nor benefitted. Ticks on stray dogs in an example of parasitism in which the tick ae benefitted while the dogs are harmed.
Symbiosis is an interaction between two organisms in which they may or may not be benefitted. Examples include bees and flowers, orchids and trees; and dogs and ticks.
