The nerves formed by the axons of the parasympathetic preganglionic neurons.
Introduction:
The outflow of the parasympathetic axons is from the cranial nerve of the brainstem and sacral region of the spinal cord. The parasympathetic axons travel through the parasympathetic chain ganglia to their target cell. A ganglion is nerve cell bodies which are connected in a series and form plexus on the respective organ and glands.
