Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a condition characterized by certain symptoms like polyuria, polydipsia, and polyphagia. Increased level of blood glucose is the primary reason for the occurrence of these symptoms. There are two kinds of DM, namely, type 1 and type 2. These two diseases are caused by different mechanisms.
