Communication can be defined as the process of exchanging information or the way of conveying message, information, ideas and feelings from one entity to other by the use of words, actions, gestures, symbols etc. It is a two-way process which aims at the creation of meaningful and mutual understanding between the sender of the message and the receiver of the message.

Supportive communication can be defined as the style of communication which aims at resolving the issues between the communicators and to help them in achieving the common goal.
