Summary Introduction
To explain: The way that is used to compare the expression of a gene in cancer cells and a normal cell using Northern blot, RT-PCR, and a DNA chip.
Introduction: Gene functions can be studied through its expression in a particular cell and its interaction with the other genes. To study the gene expression, specific mRNAs corresponding to the gene of interest are to be identified. The methods used for these include reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), DNA microarray analysis, and RNA sequencing.
