Mostly they enter through the mucous membrane of respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary tract, skin and blood. The pathogens cause various human diseases such as pneumonia, influenza, typhoid fever, giardiasis genital warts, herpes, syphilis conjunctivitis and trachoma etc.
