Introduction:

Uncoupler is an agent that separates connected or combined chemical reactions. This uncoupler restricts ATP (adenosine triphosphate) synthesis in oxidative phosphorylation in mitochondria by inhibiting the chemical reaction between phosphorylation and electron transport. It leads to the production of proton motive force.
