To write:
About the parts of human digestive tract that food passes through along with the types (mechanical or chemical) of digestion that occur there.
Introduction:
The human digestive tract is formed by the combination of digestive organs, which work together to carry out the digestion of food. Digestive organs include the alimentary canal and the associated digestive glands like the salivary glands, liver, pancreas, and gastric glands. Digestion in human is of two types-
Mechanical digestion and chemical digestion.
• Mechanical digestion is the process of breakdown of large food particles into small, fine particles with the help of teeth, assisted by the tongue.
• Chemical digestion is the process of hydrolysis of food into its simplest forms by the action of digestive enzymes secreted by the digestive glands.
