Reason for red paint and oil and vinegar salad dressing to not act as true solution has to be explained.

Concept Introduction:

True solution is type of solution that contains molecular or ionic-sized constituent particles. Such particles are present in range of $\text{0}\text{.1}-\text{1 nm}$.

Below mentioned are some properties of true solution.

1. It is composed of variable composition and has two components: solute and solvent.

2. Its nature is homogeneous.

3. It can either be colorless or colored but is generally transparent in appearance.

4. Separation of solute from solvent takes place by simple physical methods.

5. In true solutions, solute is uniformly distributed throughout whole solution.
