Calculation:
The given functions are f(x)=(x−1)2 ; g(x)=3−x . Therefore, using the definition of f(x)+g(x) and f(x)−g(x) are:
(f+g)x=f(x)+g(x)=(x−1)2+(3−x)=x2−2x+1+3−x=x2−3x+4
