When probabilities are show in form of tree diagram, end of branches of the diagram shows all the possible and not possible outcomes probabilities of an event.
Hence we know that the probability of all the outcome of an event is 1.
Total outcomes will become equal to all the outcome so we can say that the sum of probabilities of the outcomes on a probability tree must be 1.
